Bob VanWagner apparently didn't fill out a driver information sheet. Bob, if you're here, could you please give me the information for hometown, chassis, engine, fuel, pipe, body, tires, radio, and servos?

If anyone else knows this, can you please enter it here, or send it to me as email to mikem @ rc-racing.com? Thanks!

Sorry for missing you on the introductions Bob, but I didn't have the info, and wasn't thinking quick enough to realize it.

Great run as always though!

I still have the photos to post at the top of the page, but the image galleries are now posted on SGrid. There's one for photos early in the day, one for the Masters Final, one for the Open Final, and one for the fun after the racing was completed. They're all on SGrid Online, www.sgrid.com, at the very bottom of the page.

Once I get the other photos done, I'll copy some of them over here for people who don't have access to SGrid. I should be all finished by a little after midnight.

This event was great.
Chris Whitney, You are a class act. I'm sure many have told you "Thank you" but you made it happen with your vision and desire to see it be the best.
So Thank you once again for everything that you did, even when you shouldn't have.
The ROAR Team did a wonderful job running the race and making the right calls with the weather coming. It was next to impossible to find anyone who was upset with something.
Congradulations are in order for the class winners, very well deserved. Scott Kimbrow and Eli Ezirow you guys got the job done. It was a pleasure to watch and it gives us all something to strive for.
I believe the 1/8th Worlds is due back in the US in 2011, I can think of a great place for it to be held at. 301 Raceway!!!!!!!!!
I'll see everyone at Ft Myers for the Sedan Nationals and we can do it all again.
Thank you all once again. A job well done.

A dozen or so photos are now posted individually, and a few hundred photos are up in the photo galleries including the two Finals.

I'll copy over a few of them here:

Thank you guys for all the kind words. It's an awesome feeling to win, and I can honestly say, that was the most intense r/c race I have ever driven. It was exciting as hell!!

I must add, that I don't care how fast I can get the car around the track, I know that the biggest reason I am able to compete with incredible talent like Mike Swauger, Josh Cyrul, and Paolo Morganti is that I have great friends like Rick Davis, Jim Adkins, Rich Browne, and Sherry (soon to be) Kimbrow. These guys have spent more of their time making me go fast than any of you will ever know. Having friends like that to go racing with is much more important than winning, and I am very thankful to have both.

Alright..... sorry for getting all sappy there....... DAMN IT, WE WON!!!!!!!!

All my sponsors are listed below, and I thank each and every one of them for the quality equipment they provide me. i would especially like to thank Joel Johnson and Kyosho for their amazing support, more than I could ever ask for.

Thank you Chris Whitney and crew for having the best track in the country and doing all that you do for the r/c racers. I can't wait to go back to 301 again!

Congratulations to Eli for TQing and winning the Masters class, and to all the racers, I hope you enjoyed your week as much as I did.

Good Luck to everyone in 2009!

Scott

Thanks for the kind words nitroballer9. I didn't know if I could have won it or not. I am just lucky to be racing with those guys. I wasn't really thinking about winning at the time just finishing and waiting for Eli to run me down and show his experience or any of the drivers in the A main in that matter. It was fun and nice to be able to race again. It really has been a long time, maybe next time.

The car semi-broke when I was coming off and exiting the corner at the end of the straightaway. I got some air under the car when I ran over the metal plate, it lifted up and went on its lid and slid into the 4x4 wall. Once it hit the 4x4 the car was garbage to drive. It ripped out the upper right camber link set screw ¾ of the way and it was changing caber like 5 or 10 degrees on left hand turns. I was off Eli pace a little a ten or so but able to stay with him in sight, but not catch him. I was trying though. I might of been able to hold off for a second or third finish but that is not what I wanted, so I pushed the car too hard until it broke completely, my bad.

Billy
