Default mega engines?

I was looking on the serpent web site and some of the older discontinued mega engines with the purple head have 1.75 or 1.8 hp and the new ones with the orange heads have 1.5 hp whats up with that?

with out a doubt those purple head novamega are one of the best engines ever made. maybe the dyno's or the test equiment is more consistant and accurate then the ones they use back then. just my 2 cents

Specs of RC engines are out of the sky. No factory can measure that as also there is no standard to measure that, mayby they calculate it based on several numbers they know from the motor.
The only thing you can do is go to the site where they do all engines on one dyno so you can compare them.

The only real thing you can do is a search for user experiences.
