Default Please help asap.....MTX-3 issue

I started to run my MTX-3 today and it acted rellay wierd.

When I let off the throttle it seems as if the brake was being applied. I checked the linkage (all good) so I thought it was spool messing up. Put the front diff back in and still did it. I then changed the rear diff and still did it again. I even removed the brake and still did it.

I checked all the bearings and they are good.

When I remove the main belt (left side) it rolls great with no binding. Once reinstall the belt the rear tires seem really tight when I tr to roll it. You can see that rear wheels are binding a little. But it only does this when the left side belt is on.

I am clueless on this one...........

Any help is great.

Thanks

Assuming that your brake is truly free when off throttle position.

I would consider these things :

1. Increase the height of rear upper link on the rear uprights, like 3mm height. Use longer screws.

2. Use fresh tires <--- very important.

3. Set rear downstop to 4 and front downstop to 0 on Hudy block

4. Remove the rear stabiliser, or simply use thin rear stabiliser.

5. Set front track width and rear track width = 200mm

6. Set rear camber position to 4.0 or 4.5 degree inward.

7. Use B rear block.

8. Follow the setup manual as starting point. ( ride height, oil viscosity, camber, springs, etc ).

Kinda sounds like a pulley is in the wrong spot and its trying to overdrive the rear wheels.

When you remove the side belt is the rear bound up aswell or is it only when you put the belt back on?

Are you sure the side belt is not rubbing on the exhaust manifold? Check your belt tentioner

As for the side belt. I even took off the pipe and the belt ten. and still does it.

All ride hights ect. are good

As far a pulley being the wrong size, it is poss. What sizes are they on the two side ones for the side belt.

Thanks

It maybe 16 rear 19 forward if it has the pulley conversion. Not sure what stock is. Does the car drag when rolling forward or reverse? Do you have a one-way installed up front or a diff. This will determine if the problem is in the rear or front. Check all your bearings

Hey guys. Thanks for all the replies and help.

I called the guy who I bought the car from and it does have the pully conv. on it.

The two side pullies were swithed.....I was so stupid not to catch it....lol

Anyway, I switched them and rolls smooth as ever.

Thanks again everyone.
