I absolutely LOVE my O.S. .18 CVR. It's a TANK and runs STRONG!

Get a OS TZ12.

I run a Novarossi Tuned Power 12-SCT 3 port.

Before that engne I run with OS TZ,OS TZ EB MOD,RD Logics RR3 by Richley(novarrossi base engine) Mugen XT12 and the IDM is the best over all

I highly would not recomend anything over a .12 . OS makes a very simple and fast on road motor that won't break your budget. After you get a really good .12 then check out larger motors. An OS 18TZ is WAYYYY too powerful to be competitive in 1/10 touring, especially for a beginner in racing.

I'm not pushing big named Italian motors because you need to know more about racing and tuning for racing.

If you do, go for it!!
good luck!

i did have to change the gearing on my car by adding three more teeth to the clutchbell to calm the car down
the specs are 1hp and 38000 rpm three needle composite carbsg crank short stroke.drives like os, holds tune well,it is quieter than other motors as well

A OS TZ12 3port turbo is great. I love the power and reliability. I had it now for 2 years or so and I ran 30% now 40% with a OS ultra hot plug only the second one used and even running a bad air to fuel mix at 280, its soo strong. When tuned properly I run like 220-240 at track like Kissimee. I have had a gallon and a half and so far good compression still. I just added shims because the piston started pitting and still tons of power. I will buy a OS again and again.
PS always buy the best or else you will pay for it in the future. I spent thousands of dollars on stupid RC stuff that was good enough, but follow the pro's and you will do great. BUY WHAT THEY BUY.
