I copied this to get people up to date...It was originaly posted in the Paris Memorial thread....If you want to find out more go to that thread and check out the last few post between Rich Brown and BTZ.

Hey Brian,

We are talking about having a RAMS 40th Year Anniversary Race next year - what do you think about a North/South Series Race in conjunction with our 40th anniversary event. Now that GLARC is coming back to life - might be some BIG California fun! If we started working on it now - could be dandy. Give me a shout.

thx,
Rich

By the way - I really miss Ron Paris. He was a good friend. He was also an early adopter of the internet as a collaboration and communication tool:

I can see it now....racers puposely crashing so the "turn marshalls" can bend over and pick it up. It's gonna take some serious concentration to finish w/o incident.

We can probably have our first race on February, then every other month if it is possible.

With strippers? If we have stripper as turn marshals, we know the winner is gay.

Sounds like a lot of fun, wich venues are going to be involved in the LA area?
since up hear in Nor Cal we only have 1 place to race 1/8th.

Also is this going to include sedans as well ??
I think it should, there are some really good drivers out there

State series sounds like a good idea.

This is a bad idea. I recall a RAMS race a few years ago when one of Thello's friends turnmarshalled a car that may have been his, I dunno. All I know is I went flying through a fast section and all I saw was ass and purple g-string... BAM! was the inevitable sound of me drilling the board. Pretty hard to concentrate for sure Of course you wanna cover it up... uhhh... "RUNAWAYYYYY!!" LOL
