I heard the new HPI ran REAL well at Crystal Park
the little birdies in California are telling me that the HPI car ran very well in testing with other cars in comparison(Impulse,Mugen,Tc3)...very flat,ALOT of cornering speed.....
I think this is great news....
anyone else seen it?......................

(I'm quite demanding huh? )
I hope that it will be ready before the end of the summer.

OK..how about this..
in alot of test laps, teh R40 stayed very consistant...also,high speed corrections were very easy....unlike all HPI cars, the faster it went, the better it felt..

I am confident (read: absolutely sure) that it will drive much better. I couldn't push my rs4 at all....
Who was doing the driving? Who has been the main designer? Also, was this its first time out, or just the first time you saw it out on the track?
I am praying they won't take too long to get it out... I want a new car by August (before Hawaii state champs in september, when we get some... fast visitors... ).

Thad drove it at CP, the designer of the R40 is one of our engineers named Yodo-san, he designed it in Japan and it has been tested there and is starting to get tested in the US as well as Europe I'm sure.

y are the shock bodies not aluminum?

Thanks y'all.
I don't care if the shock is plastic, but threaded is definitely up there on the necessaties list. Same with hex screws, so I won't have to think of buying loose hex head screws before I think about putting together a kit. I gave up on trying to like phillips screws.
Frank,
Are you at liberty to divulge how long the car has undergone testing in Japan?
Fastharry,
sorry, forgot you are located in NJ, it says right under your name.

hexscrews came std on my Impulse(as well as my HPI's)...I have no problem with them...I think most people would like them(esp nitro Tc3 owners who HATE the hex screws)..
maybe we could get HPI to package they're Titanium screws as a complete Package upgrade...If not,you can buy the packages and do them yourself(they're not that badly priced)..
