Default Will a TRX 2.5 fit in a NTC3?

Can i fit a TRX 2.5 in a ntc3 without modifications ? does it have the same footprint as a small block ? how are these engines compared to lets say an MT12? thanks in advance!

I also own a ntc3, but I think it probably won't fit because the trx 2.5 is pretty big. I could be worng though.

No, it will fit. Someone over on the Traxxas Board did just that. It has the same mounting bolt spacing as any small-block .12 or .15, and it uses a short shaft. The owner went a bit overboard and replaced the stock TRX innards with a Sirio 5-port p/s set. He says that the power is absolutely insane.

This was brought up before, if I remember correctly the 2.5 T-Maxx header will almost work on the NTC3. As far as the engine goes, it should go right in. Just make sure you have the right motor mounts & clutch set-up.
