I have the fixed rear sway bar and was advised that it should be thinned out from inside one of the hold down screws to the other hold down screw to soften the stiffness. I can't remember if I am supposed to take off a total of 1 mm or have it end up 1 mm thick. Any help on this?

Pete,
Make the bar half the thickness of the stock bar. That works at 80% of the tracks - if the traction is ever too much, go to the stock bar

Default Clarification required for M3 evo empire parts

Hello:

I know that it is mentioned in several areas of this thread which empire parts are recommended, however, it is quite confusing since it has not been specified which ones will fit the new M3 evo.

1) If someone can clarify which empire P/N's are recommended specifically for the M3 evo, that would be great.

2) Off topic...the instruction manual recommends to shave off a portion of the engine so that there won't be an interference fit with the belt (I think), can someone clarify whether this step is truly required? (Novarossi)

3) My experience with the V-One RRR taught me that aluminum pinions are extremely needed. The new M3 evo requires a 22T rear pulley, but there doesn't seem to be any avail on the market for this? Unless someone can tell me otherwise?

4) Can someone tell me what is the empire website? the links that have been provided within this thread do not seem to work (website seems to be no longer avail).

Thanks Guys!!!! (1/8th newbie needing help)

Thanks Rich, however, they only sell 16T, 18T, 20T, 25T & 26T alu pulleys, but not 22T like the stock one in the M3 evo.

Unless someone can tell me otherwise, I have not found one available in aluminum.

Thanks.

Default JR Servo 9100S doesn't fit servo mount??

Anybody have experience with this?

JR 9100s seems to be too wide for the steering servo mount.

I guess I can shave some of the material off, but it would be much cleaner if I could just cut off the bottom portion of FM609 (steering servo mount). Has anybody done this before? Will I be reducing the integrity of the part?

Thanks
MH

I kind of just forced it in. I've had no issues with it. dremeling souds like a good idea for a better fit.

Default Aluminum Front Upper Suspension Mount Set for M3 evo?

Guys:

Can anyone confirm whether FMW607 (Aluminum Front Upper Suspension Mount Set) will fit the M3 evo??

Also, can anyone confirm the empire P/N for aluminum front upper suspension mount set for the M3 evo? I've seem many P/n's, but it is always unclear what will fit the M3 evo.

Looking forward to hearing anyone's response.
Thanks!!!

Yup, Empire is alive and doing fine - thanks for the interest. The website is down because we are transitioning to Serpent Products. If you need Kyosho parts:

Contact Sam at Kamikaze Hobbies. He knows his stuff. Empire racing is now Supporting Serpent America and we are in development with the 966 and 933.

Kyosho items are still available at the retail level
