Thank you occ, it was a very competitive and very fun race. Here are the answers to your questions...

1) no
2) no - not really any pictures. we had to leave as soon as the main was over to catch a plane.
3) yes - Ralph switched this year. I believe he is running one more 8th scale race this year; The ROAR Nationals (also at 301 Raceway).

Thank you again for the compliments,
Scott

Yes, they do make hardened gears:

FMW304-15 Hard 1st Gear (15T)
FMW304-16 Hard 1st Gear (16T)
FMW304-17 Hard 1st Gear (17T)
FMW304-19 Hard 2nd Gear (19T)
FMW304-20 Hard 2nd Gear (20T)
Do they make one for 21T? If there is, what is the part number? Does it suppose to be FMW304-21?

Also, I am looking for the 2-speed clutch tool. Will the VZW221 (2-Speed clutch tool) work with the Evolva pinion gears?

They don't make a 21t at this time.

The VZW221 is for .8 pitch/200mm cars and not for the 1/8th /.21 cars.

What you are looking for is the VZW040

I beleive Team Titan makes a 21 tooth for the M3. www.RacedayHobbies.com
has them. Titan pinons are nice quality as well.

Delta Manufacturing also makes hardened pinions that are very good, 15 thru 21 and possibly others too.

Default Please i need help

Hello everybody.

My name is Guillaume, i'm from france ( please excuse my poor english)and i running with EVOLVA M3 since february 2008.
I was very easy with The EVOLVA 2005WC, and at the begining of the year with M3, but now i become to be loose in the set up.
I need help , because i have a lot difficulties with my car, more now with track temp increasing.
The rear is sliding,no traction, and not a lot of steering, so a bad car.
I am using Centrale Body ( as about 95% of french drivers ) but i'm not sur of the body position ( 15mm or 10 mm ????)
I'm running with long whell base ( is not good for steering)
etc...
I read the set up sheets plublished on the forum and the setup is very far from Kyosho standart set up and mine?
Can you explain me some items as:
Sus Older part "C" ( i use B)
Upper Arm height ( i use 3mm)
srcub set front and rear ( i use 1mm)
Upper Arm (in or out )

If someone can give me some explanations or how and where to find it
Thank for your help

Go to this website http://kamikazetoysandhobbies.com/home.htm, very good customer service. If the parts you need are not online, give them a call, they have most parts for the M3 in stock.

TTT...

Also wondering if there were any Factory A-main guys (or someone with info) which attended the Great Lakes Challenge, if they wouldn't mind sharing their set-ups

Much appreciated

Hi BYSDOR-

If you look up at post #395 in this thread, you will see my setup from the Capitol Classic. I ran the exact same setup at the GLC with just one difference. I used 40 shore rears at the GLC instead of 37 shore.

Hope this helps!

Scott

Thanks for the info Scott.

I have some more questions if you don't mind- for the rear upper arm height on the hub (doesn't appear to be on the set-up sheet, no spot for it), how many millimeters shims? And I am seeing the width for the rear is 258, with red box tires? Seems really narrow- did that help with side bite, or reduce it?

Regards,
Bill
