I will see if I can get the time from work on the Saturday not sure but if not will try and make it on Sunday if for nothing else just for good productive conversation and idea juggling.

I will try and have a meeting with our new group and get things outlined as to our plans and progress maybe we can brainstorm and generate critical info that will be the base of a new start.

Off topic: JSpeed, do you guys run in Jan/Feb ?

On topic: I've noticed that may hobby shops only support brand specific vehicles. My closest LHS will not support Mugen, Serpent, Kyosho or any other high performance kits. I was told that they refuse to spend due to the high prices and the slow sales.

Gettoteacher,

That’s not cool at all.

Make them order it or get it online and forget em.

We race all winter long!

Check out this GT running "box stock" bumping up to an A Main yesterday in Rally. It runs “out of the box” on almost anything.

I have driven the cars a few local guys at the club that put me on the wheel and I loved the car as soon as I drove it. I just did not drive the guys car as hard as I would have if I owned it

That picture alone makes me want to run rally

I have to plan the trip right with work and the new baby in the house hold. Time for travel will be a bit tighter now more than ever.

Ghettoteacher, yep I remember. I had to get special permission from Chris to run that day because I wasn't a new guy I had a good time that day even though we all froze our butts off. I gave away a bunch of parts that day and I remember someone tried to pay me but of course I didn't take it. I just hope that one of those guys I helped stuck with it. And maybe he helped a new guy, and so on. That's what I love about our sport.

Also, Jspeed, where's a good place to buy these GT's? I thought Tower Hobbies but they don't carry Kyosho anymore. That's hard to believe. I bought my first car, a Kyosho Icarus from Tower when I was about 12 I think. The guy that runs the sports park that we are running at wants to buy like 5 or 10 rental cars and I think the GT would be perfect for that.

....which explains why most guys that run the "high end" car HAVE to shop online from the specialists. ....most "hobby" stores are toy/RTR stores......

Agreed though the word is "clique". http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/clique

I think Rc just kinda suxd here in the US. Look at the worlds in Argentina. They make it look like the Super Bowl. I just think racing anything in the US is just bad! Look at Nascar, it has NOTHING on F1 over seas.

Pardon my error! I was spelling phonetically!
Thank you for the proper spelling!
