Yea I have a NTC3 and while its fun and easy to get parts from it does not even compare to the others. But if you are going to be parking lot racing like I do then it will be good. But if you are serious about gettign a good car I would recomend the new Xray NT1 or the slighly cheap but just as good
MTX4 or MTX4R.

You might want to consider the following:

Mugen MTX4
Xray NT1
Serpent 720
Kyosho V one RRR (fill-in the blank on what version)

You are about 1.5 years behind on the cars you listed in the title of your thread. You can't go wrong with any of the four mentioned

Well, two of the cars have been discontinued, MTX-3 & NTC3, and parts will soon be very hard to find for those two once the remaining supply of them dry up. As far as the Mongoose, just buy the Team Magic G4 (fill-in-the-blank version) if you are going to go with that version. But remember one thing, if you try to do things in the hobby on the very cheap, you get what you pay for (which normally are a bunch of headaches).

Much of what you do see is leftover kits that have not sold that many distributors bought huge lots of when the car was briefly popular. When the popularity of the car dramatically fell off, they were stuck with tons of kits. A few have slashed prices so cheap that it is very tempting to buy on. But, as far as the car itself, AE has pretty much (under the table) discontinued the car. Most of us don't know if they are working on a new car due to there R&D concentrating on their new TC5 and RC8 buggy.

Either the MTX-4 or Kyosho V one RRR. It seems like many hobby shops carry these car and parts and parts are easy to find online for both cars. The Team Magic car does come as a RTR and parts are fairly easy to obtain. Just go with the one that is the easiest for you to operate and find parts when thing break.

If you are looking for an inexpensive car that is good and not costly, get an R40. While it doesnt have as many bells and whistles as some of the pricier cars (according to some), set-up right, it is still a competitive car. See fastharry, he is selling a brand new one for like $225. Parts are still easy to come by and the car is durable as hell.

you should lean towards a 12 size, you may find it to be faster.
