Don't think that Audi partnered with anyone on this one. I think this is straight from their R&D team. The car itself is 2 years old in production design, I think. Motortrend did an excellent car vs car comparison with this car and the Porsche 911 GT2 and the R8 beat it hands down.

J D Roost,
So, you are saying that the Thunder Tiger 2-speed transmission has a smaller footprint than the Kyosho and OFNA ones? If that is the case, that would be very interesting. It could be what could make something like a Mugen or Associated buggy into a GT car with little modification. Hmmm.........................

That's part of what I'm using in my SC8GT conversion but the only draw back is that the diffs on the RC8/SC8/RC8T have a 4.3:1 ratio and if you race in a big track then you will have no top end on the strait. I'm posting today my photos and for the 2 speed I used TT shaft, TT outdrives, HPI & traxxas Spurs, OFNA (Hyper) 2 speed assembly and Hyper oneway. This is to use available Clutch bells. I could have gone with custom clutch bell gears but it's easier for me to find the plastic spurs than a custom CB. The great thing is that everything fits in the stock location without cutting the shafts.

I'm using the stock SC8 towers right now but I will change them to the one that SNR Graphite makes. They look really cool plus are lighter than stock. For shocks I'm using RC8 front shocks all around with DM1 spec rear springs all around.
