Go back to page 13 of this thread. There is a starting set-up for the GT1 that will work on the GT2 and give you a base to work from.

The GT1 is based off their Inferno 7.5 Sport/777 buggy chassis while the GT2 is based off their ST-R truggy chassis (longer wheelbase). I have both but mainly race my GT1 with my GT2 as a backup.

There are some other changes between the gt1 and gt2 like gearing. which doesn't really matter since the stock tranny is going to blow up and be replaced with something different with gearing of your choice.

My IGT performed very well in the “Spec” class “A Main” for 30 minutes, was a blast to drive, I finished in 2nd place on the lead lap, including me being dumb & running out of fuel at the 1st fuel stop at the start of the race. I lost 6 laps to the field and somehow was able to make it up by the end.

My fastest lap times with the “stock” .28 engine were within 4 seconds of the fastest 200mm Nitro cars and will certainly improve with more set-up time with the Inferno GT.

I did make some “set-up” changes to the “box-stock” car that worked very well for me & I wish to share with anyone racing the Kyosho Inferno GT cars.

Kyosho Austin Martin Body
Kyosho IGT Heavy Sway Bars Front & Rear
Kyosho V-Slick 55 Shore Rubber Tires
Werks Racing Fuel
75W shock oil all around
50K Diff Silicon Front
10K Diff Silicon Rear
1 ½ Neg Camber Front
2 Neg Camber Rear
1 ½ Toe-Out Front

The Kyosho Inferno GT “Spec” class racing was exciting and looked very realistic.

Now more than ever, I know the Kyosho IGT will be the new “fun” & inexpensive class in On-Road R/C racing for 2008 and beyond.

JSpeed,
Were you able to pick up that four seconds on the 1/10 scales?
I feel my car is just as fast as the 1/10, just easier to see for an old guy like me.

If you would change the stock tranny, what would you change it to? I built mine using parts from Thunder Tiger, Mugen, XTM and Ofna. I had to shim it to clear the larger first gear and dremal the bearing housings but never considered any probems. Shifts hard, doesn't move around and is very consistant. My only issue is to bring traction from the rear to the front of the car. I think I may have to grt rid of these cute tire/rim combos. Anyone know of any good rubber or foam for 1/8 GT?

I use Ipanema tires and they work really good.

I like Ipanema's too.

If your front tires are spinning upon acceleration, replace the diff grease with good quality diff fluid. Try 30k up front and 10k in the rear to start. You will notice a big change in handling and control.

I'm like a second or two faster with 1/10 on our 20+ sec lap track. But we get much better competition with GT's
