Hey gang, I just got a GT2 about 2 weeks ago and I'm having some issues. I have upgraded to cold weather slicks (cus it was cold the day I got it and I destroyed my left front wheel...we wont talk about that) I am having a bit of trouble tuning it but I think I will get the hang of it. I'm running an O.S. A3 plug, I will be changing to an A5 or R5 soon. Does anyone have any good tuning suggestions?
But my BIG issue is, when I WOT throttle it at lower speeds (b4 2nd) the front end spins like no tomorrow. If I ease into it the car just can't keep up with others. Is this a diff issue? Or has anyone had an issue like this?

The engines on the "spec" list for the Jackson, MS Bass Pro race is as follows:
1. OS .21VG-X, part # OSMG 2059
2. Sportwerks .26 V2 pull start, part # SWK 8085
3. Dynamite Mach .26 pull start, part # DYN 0887
4. Dynamite Mach 427 pull start, part # DYN 0895 (new proposed for 2009)
5. OFNA Force .28 pull start, part #52217 (new proposed for 2009)
6. Axial .28 spec 1s pull start, part #AX001 (green), part #AX002 (black) (new proposed for 2009)
All of the engines are low cost and can be found or obtained by most hobby shops. The Sportwerks engine has been discontinued by the manufacturer but since you can still obtain it, it will be included until parts for it are unobtainable.

In Memphis, the rule was that the pullstart had to work and could be teched at any time to see if it did. If it didn't, you were disqualified. In Jackson, MS, the same rules applied due to all the engines on the approved "spec" engine list are all pullstart. However, in both places, you could use a starter box to start the car, which many racers did. So, the pullstart had better be functional and not just decoration or your raceday could be very short at those two venues. We never had anyone DQ'ed for breaking that rule because many started their engines at least once using the pullstart to show the race director that it was functioning.

Hello,
The Hobbytech STR8 RG win the first two rounds of the south-west French Championship.
We race without the pull-starter.
Au revoir

Well, the thing I liked when I raced my car in Jackson, MS was that I did not have to buy a $300+ engine and might be able to be competitive. The class was very competitive with the stock/chosen "spec" engines and since the cars hardly break (stripped spur gears were the main issue), it made for fun racing without worry about how much money you have to sink into the car just to have a remote possibility to win.

Anybody know of any bodies that fit the GT2 other than those from Kyosho? Pre-painted ok, but clear preferred. TIA guys!

I don't know, but just got the clear Corvette and it looks like it will cut air like a knife.
Good luck

( I'm not sure if this has been discussed earlier or not ).
Got some free time to play rctech ....
Here we go, I just browsing kyosho website...., and I found few things worth to notice that newer GT2 cars have bigger fuel tank ( 150cc ), longer wheelbase ( 360mm ), new lighter flywheel, new 2speed gear ratio, and new engine ( GXR28SG ).
Are we racing GT2 and GT in the same class ? .... fuel tank volume is not the same.
Which car body is the most preferred by racer ?
Which chassis wheelbase is the most preferred by racer ? 360mm wheelbase vs 325mm wheelbase ?
