I put up a revised layout. We ran it today, it should solve the back straight issue.

We're going to run a club race on Saturday, October 13th, as a pre Pursuit Challenge II race. Racing starts @ 9:30am.

Too bad this is the same weekend as the Paris Memorial race. I would really like to try out a new track.

Could not agree more.
I have been waiting years for a bigger race worth a 6 hour drive from Phoenix to attend at this track and it is scheduled the same weekend as the Paris Race that has been going on for almost 20 years and honors one of the biggest influences in our hobby.
Hopefully there will be some more races this winter at this track that I will be able to make.

Bummer!!
Brad

Terry is back from Argentina. Okay, we're going with his original layout (counterclockwise). Cya guys there this weekend.

nitrodude 10-17-2007 05:11 PM

White or red layout?

nitrodude 10-17-2007 05:24 PM

I hope its not the red one:flaming: If it is, any chance we can keep the straight of the white layout, but the rest of the red one? The straight is kinda short, you're mis-using the track.

where's the straight away?:confused::confused:

moy 10-17-2007 07:53 PM

the straight away is infront of the pit area.

SOo you are telling me that we will be pitting off the straight away? Correct me if i'm wrong but that would make us have to stop completly to make that sharp right turn into pit lane. You don't think someone is going to come by there in second gear and tear the back end off somebodys car:confused::confused:

The straight is still in the back but it's shorter. I guess you can call it a halfway, yes theres a dip and Turbo T your straight away is in the parkinglot:lol:

We stopped running the full track because people say it's a engine killer. I say run the layout everyone knows, it's good.

Its too bad the lay out was changed. The track was just getting in great shape, and finally everyone had a track that when we arrived, it was ready to go, instead of standing around until the track was cleaned and sprayed.
I thought the crew at SVM was doing at great job maintaining the surface, and everyone enjoyed themselves.
If they are getting complaints about the track being too large, tell the ones
complaining to adjust their gearing. Is that not the reason for being able to change spur gears, and or pinions?
I say put er back the way it was,
