The 2009 season? It cant be easy trying to schedule the 6 races around the holidays (memorial,4th of july, labor day) and other events like the 1/8 nats and GLC at toledo and the offroad 1/8 nats at leisure. It doesnt leave very many open weekends. I am thinking we might see a schedule after the GLC dates are pinned down.

Other important dates to consider if we race in Cheeseland. It would be great to race at the State Fair grounds.

May 31st is the Indy car event on the Mile

June 20 is the Truck race on the Mile
June 21st is the Nationwide-Busch race on the Mile

Did I miss something? Does someone have friends in wisconsin state fair park? That could be really cool to race on the indy car track.

Sorry, no Friends at the State Fair Grounds, but that should not be a problem. We really just need to get someone to spend some time and find the right person to work with on having an RC race near the track on a race weekend.

For the past couple of years there has been a Fuel on-road race at the Homestead speedway during the season opening Indy car race.

Someone just needs to put a little effort into it.

I am not sure how, but we seem to have fewer and fewer weekends every summer. I like to have my cake and eat it too.

Gary,
I imagine Ted is referring to the mws weekend. It would be cool if you looked into it. Whatever we can do to enhance the appeal and the experience, to mark our 40th season, sounds good to me. I know you guys have secured a new and better site for racing, but if the fairgrounds also has some good asphalt for us to terrorize, I am OK with that.

Hoping maybe we could use some of the info from the Homestead FL. group that has raced at the speedway during the IRL opener.

http://www.rctech.net/forum/nitro-ro...rand-prix.html

If the Racine group has a new track location, that is great. We all know how hard race sites are to find. Just thought having a MWS race during a race at the Fairground would be a big plus. We need to do all we can do to get people off the couch or porch and at the track.

The website is still awaiting approval of the domain transfer (I have been furious with the current registrar for taking so freakin long to release it). The Midwest Series website is now going to be hosted by godaddy, but I am waiting for the old registrar to release the domain so I can have godaddy have it (much cheaper). It should be transferred within a day or 2. Once the transfer completes, I can upload the old site on the new server and be up and running again. Sorry for the delays.

As of right now, I have not gotten and updates to the site from the MWS Director as to a 2009 schedule.
