you should try softer tires......maybe 40/40 will work good.....
the tires wear more easily when you car rolls or spins......
running softer tires you'll probably get better traction and lower wear......

Hi all, just finishing the wiring on my g4, following the guide on tm's wbsite. Just have one quick question: Is my radio going to glitch if the anteanna passes close by the servo wires? What have you done to fix that?
thanks

the antenna is not the big problem......

you MUST fix you receiver with 2 layers of double sided tape, the vibrations cause glitches due to the receiver holder is close to the engine......if you can afford, you should buy the kfactory carbon fiber transponder holder, the piece comes with an antenna holder and you can put it on the carbon plate above the receiver......

bballer... Just to prevent any glitching or lose of signal, I would mount my antenna wire right above my receiver. I did after losing single on 3 different occasions with my brand new M8 radio... I re-wired the car and problem solved... Funny thing, Trintity drivers Mike Dumas and prior driver Josh Cyrul mounted there's that way... Check out Hi-Torgue's R/C Car magazine page 54 Dec 2003 and RC Car Action Dec 2003 page 204 and 205. You want as much antenna wire exposed to the air as possible and not snaking through the chassis and over servo's... Also Carbon fiber is known to cause glitching as well... Also use double sided tape on both sides of your servos just as an extra measure of protection. You can mount as per the manuel or any tips found in the forum. I mounted my wire that way and I don't glitch period... Unless some idiot turns his radio with my same channel/crystal...

Does anyone here run Jaco foams. If so what color and shore ratings. I was trying to compare them to the purple and magenta the kit calls for but couldn't find shore ratings for the Jacos. Thanks.

you should run JACO NITRO SHOES.......

40 shore front and rear always run fast and consistent......run 45 rear on track surface with too much bite.....

What are the colors? The reason I ask is we have a box of foams at work and they are half price to get rid of them, but the boxes don't have shore ratings on them.

JACO NITRO SHOES have no color identification.....

only the foams for carpet racing are identified by color.....

Jaco's didn't really work too well for me. They seem to break too easily. I tried using new Mono Touring tires on my rear and they helped bring my lap times down. Didn't chunk either. Although I was using some used Ellegi in the front. I think that might have created an overdrive ratio.

I use 37 shore all around for my track.

I think the rear knuckles are skinnier.

Default FOAMS

I will be using two brands this year:

TRC and GQ foams. I like the GQ foams because they are durable and come on orange rims. The TRC last a decent time too but they only come on the yellow rims.

Default Question

Hey all,

I have a chance to carry the PMB set up stations. The problem is that it is very expensive to ship less than 10 to the US. Is this something you all would be interested in. The products sell for:

Set up station $55
Set up board $35
Shock set up too $23

check them out at www.pmbproducts.com and let me know. I will be their only US Dealer and I want to make sure it is worth it to order 20 -30 kits at a time. I see dinball and mushrrom selling the for a little more than I will.
