jas1... Maybe you can help me here... Do you have the link on TM website that shows the weight of the chassis... When you're on that page, the address will be at the top of your tool bar. Copy and paste here with your reply... Also, I to have the 3-racing chassis... Didn't see the weight posted on it's packaging and the shipping weight on the box is not the same as the actual weight of the chassis. I also went to 3-racing website and it's not posted there either. I do know that the 3-racing chassis weighs more then stock... That's a given, but the chassis is 10000 better then stock. When I say weighs more, I'm not saying alot, but there is a difference between the 3 chassis. I just wanted facts on all three... K-factory.. 3-racing.. and stock. Thanks G4 community

RC_Alan, only going off what I have found. Should have weighed k factory chassis before I installed it.

k factory:

3 Racing:

they actually have it listed at 250g now. probably includes packaging.

i would not take that weight listed by 3racing seriously

because all of their product's weight are only estimates

they are there mainly to determine shipping cost purposes

Thanks guys... I know the 250g's is wrong... That would mean that I'm driving a brick around the track... lol I believe that the K-factory chassis is a tad bit lighter then the 3-racing chassis. There's the trade off... Have a little lighter chassis and spend about $80.00 USD or spend $38.00 USD and have a little extra for more hop-ups. I think the 3-racing chassis is super strong and won't be cracking anytime soon... Funny thing, my G4 with the 3-racing chassis and 3-port Rossi Pixy is faster then my G4 with the stock chassis and Mugen MR12 motor... Oh, both have the same gearing too.. Go figure... I think I need a NOVA NS3...

Who has the newer G4 kit version which has longer drive shafts? The new drive shaft is about 55 mm and the older one is like 52-53 mm. I'm having a problem that the rear drive shaft is too long. Anyone has experience with this?

Good luck with that.

Getting parts from the border isn't always timely.

He lives in London, not the U.S. That's like shipping it from New York to Illinois.

Default K1475

I will be getting a K1475 chassis with my order. This is the newer chassis compared to the K1431 ( 138g ), so why more weight ? I will weight it when it arrived. Stock one cracked in the same place as everyone elses.

Will be trying out a solid axle with it. New chassis suppose to weight 150g and solid axle suppose to be 25g less than standard differential. Gonna to weight the new and old parts !!!

I suppose more weight on the chassis would benefit the car rather than weight on higher parts of the car !!! But weight is still weight !!!

Have anyone try a rear solid axle with a front one way ( ala 1/8th 4wds configuration ! ) ?

Low friction belts..........are they any good?

i think the low friction belts are worth a go, i deffinetly notice better acceleration out of the corners, when fitted you can tell the difference just by rolling the car backwards and forwards
