I just started testing a G4 E class with the new steering system and the new composite front upright that suppose to give more steering. I am also running the rear ball diff and front one way.

The car understeer a little at the sweeper during off throttle. and a little nervous everywhere. What can be done?
Does anyone have a good setup for a fast sweeper and smooth track? Got a race this weekend.

Current setup
Front
Spring Trinity yellow
Droop 1
stabilizer bar: flat
toe: out 0.5
shock oil Trinity 60
caster: forward max
tyre: 37
one way
shock angle: max incline
Track width: 199

Camber: 2

Rear
Spring std
Droop 4
stabilizer bar: flat
toe: in 2
shock oil: Trinity 60
Tyre: 37
Ball Diff: heavy lock
shock angle: middle hole at shock tower, outer at arm
Camber: 4
Track width: 200

Body: Protoform Stratus 2.1

Nervous as in twitchy? You could try a softer oil like 50 or 40wt. Set the front trackwidth to 200 mm for more stability.

For a hard rear diff, it will be better to use more caster (i.e. more clips on the front of the front upper arm).

Can somebody set me up with a picture or something of the steering servo set-up? I'm trying to figure out why my Linkeage is hitting the back fo the front upper a-arm. I can't turn left

Yes, some people also have this problem at the first time because they use different servo. You can shave the ball cup.

I'm using a Hitec 645. You think that would be the cause of it?

when using a hitec put the ball on the backside of the arm that came with the servo. did your servo come with the metal arm.? you may in your case need to space the servo forward. (Arm close to the bulkhead. ) Keep the linkage as straight as possible. Take the time to spacer the servo forward so the arm is close to the bulkhead. Eric Jones one of our team drivers (rd mongoose)has his set up this way
with a ko servo put the ball on the frontside.

Motorman - It actually didn't come with a metal arm. It came with a red 4-arm set-up. Should I just use the G4 arm and put the ball on the backside?

Default Chassis

Gonna snag the "RD Logics Mongoose" steering set-up, and thinking about getting a chassis too. Should I get the 4mm or the 3mm chassis? I know the 3mm will be lighter, but will it be rigid enough?

K factory 3 mm is what is in our kit it is heavy enough we think. 4 is over kill I think given the cars inherent rigidity.

Runaround.
nervous: go to 40's
sweeper push: soften the rear shock oil to 40. The car will transfer faster. Infact this will also reduce the nervousness of the car with the 37's on it. you could also soften the spring one color and or lay the front shock down one hole.
