Default 3 racing

RC-Allan

Could not visually see the slack. The aluminum part that comes down on the rear bulkead and straddles the bearings just does not quite touch enough to "capture" the bearings tightly. I could put the stock one on and see if it does the same. Bought a 3 Racing as it was a good bit cheaper, it is a good looking piece, but........?????

Motorman....let me know when the new gear sets are in. Also be aware when using the new 18T brake pulley as the gear is smaller than stock and the K-Factory belt tensioner does not work well. The bearings do not go down far enough to take out the slack out so there for the belt skips bad. I made an extra piece and attached it to the exisiting arm to move the bearings down and it seems to be ok. I am going to run the car tomorrow with the new 18T brake and side pullies and I'll let everyone know how they work and also the arm I attached. The side belt works ok because there is enough room to move the tensioner down on the belt to take up the slack from the smaller pulley. I will talk to Nick tomorrow night and see if they are aware of the problem and if they are going to make a smaller belt or a new tensioner.

usually the only time there is slack between the bearing and the shock mount is when the theads have been stripped on the rear bulkhead, if this happens just put longer screws in

I looked at my mount last night and everything sits nice and snug together, you might contact 3 racing for a replace ment or look into other possible causes for the space.

Momotalo,

The differece between the two versions include the E-Class come with a centax clutch, Carbon fiber upper deck, different gearing and a front one way. the S-class has a two shoe clutch, gear diffin front, alum. upper deck.

your describing the c-class not s-class,
the s-class by the looks is new pinions and spur gears giving a range of taller and shorter ratios (there a different pitch too the standard and cant be mixed and matched), and also a new 2nd speed housing. its on team magics website

Sorry, my confusion.

BTW actually hafd a warm enough day to get out and drive my Car today. deffinately a needed release. I also noticed that with the new K-Factory Aluminum slider and rail mounts that I did not have the slop in my steering like before, she handled very well.

Only one question will the new steering hubs work with the old steering system.

I am so jazzed for racing to start again.

I am hoping we have a mild winter here with more 60 degree days so I can get more time in this winter.

Really? Why does the spec-sheet on the gears posted earlier say S-Class?
