Congrats to the Team Magic G4 for winning the GReat Lakes Challenge race held last weekend in Toledo (the track thats hosting the ROAR Fuel Nats later this year). Paul Ciccarello was staying toe to toe with Josh Cyrul till Josh broke and had to come in for repairs.

Hopefully this is a good showing for how well the car will perform at the Nats.

I finally pulled my G4 out of the closet since racing changed days to Mondays. I've only ran 1 tank through my Fantom during break in. So I went to run the engine and the thing starts fine and idles, but once I give it gas it will die. I've noticed that when it dies theres an air bubble in the line. I looks like it gets pushed out from the carb when it dies. I don't know if I have an air leak problem.

If I put my finger over the stinger it will prime. And if I put my finger over the air cleaner I can feel suction. So I don't know what gives. It ran fine last time I used it a month ago. I did have a clogged nipple on the pipe then, but fixed that.

I took the engine apart and I noticed that it was pretty gummy, since I didn't get the fuel out. So that could be one problem. I also noticed that if I blow in the fuel line to the carb there is some resistance. Should there be?

Also there is a stripped screw that used to be a boost chamber nipple, but I had gasket sealant on that. I'm going to JB weld it tomorrow. Like I said before it ran fine last month and I didn't touch anything. Maybe it was just gummed up too much. I ran some fuel through it to clean it out.

Any suggestions. Thanks.

steering servo, futaba, s9550(fits perfect, no mods needed)

these are the 3 things that hung me up the longest.

Hey Guys, my steering convesion is 95% complete... Just need to change servo horn and servo... Gotta test everything out at the track Saturday and I'll post some pics this weekend... I did have to have one part custom made... 90% of the parts are bone stock Mugen... Will everyone be able to do this??? No... Still looking forward to the TM upgrade as well... Everyone new to the G4... Get the TM steering upgrade as soon as it's released Aug 04 and the Alum/carbon fiber real shock tower... After that, you're car be set...

Twisted if you have the 03 version, yes it will fit. You'll have to take the boost chamber off though. Be careful when you do. I stripped out the screw that the nipple replaces. Had to JB weld it so it wouldn't get an air leak. See my above post.
