I hate the zoo.
The zoo stinks. A mix of many putrid disgusting smells.

Oh yeah, come back, the tourism industry needs you .

Anyway, I hope that HPI will follow the trend of including a lot of nice stuff in the box.

Not negative. Just facts.

Pro3 is an perfect example.

I'm mostly talking about major components like chassis, upper decks etc.

Remember those fast wearing NRS4 outdrives and the just as fast wearing ugraded ones?

Their Proceed was one car that didn't need hop-ups.

Born and raised in Hawaii.

Never been there. I spend too much money on R/C stuff to afford eating there.

LOL!

And hopefully the plastic is better than the "rubber-band" compound that HPI favors. I also hope that once this car is released, they won't drop the ball AGAIN like they did with thier only other competitive on-road car.

Can you say "Proceed?"

I think the "PRO 3" Fiasco scared 'em straight

and you know what,to their credit...HPI's probably the ONLY company that admits their mistakes...AND corrects them in a few months...

hell,as much as I love my tc3,Associated will never admit that gas tank problem.....

so I'm not worried about the r 40.....they know what it takes...

I used to think(still do actually ) that HPI purposely spec'd their cars with cheap flexy and weak parts when they were developed. And, at the same time have stronger stiffer upgrades already developed waiting to be released a few months after the car's release.

Hopefully this isn't the case with the R-40. If they can spec this car with "Pro" quality parts, they would have a winner on their hands. Imagine the sales they would generate with this car especially since almost every LHS carries HPI cars and parts.

I have always liked HPI's design ideas but was always turned off by the poor quality of the materials.

Fastharry,
I still live in paradise! Unfortunately, I won't be able to eat at Hy's for a while becaue I have to recover from another MTX-3 purhase.

From my past HPI ownership, I'll be waiting until all the bugs are fixed first, then I'll consider getting one if its good.

Excellent idea!!

I think that is a requirement when considering a just released HPI car. A three month wait should be good.
