Is Swauger running a Kawahara chassis still? Is there a Kawahara chassis for the -X or do guys just run the one made for the -R? Isn't there just a small difference in receiver battery tray?

Also on the setup sheets, there are two eccentrics listed. One from the -R and one from the -X. Which part number is which? Which one puts the diff at it's highest/lowest and which is the one more towards the middle?

Auto,

The eccentrics with part #H0188 are from the X Kit while the ones with part #T0154 are from the R Kit.

Part #T0154 are the ones that allow you to place either your Front One Way/Rear Solid to the highest/lowest position while Part #H0188 places them in the meduim of both settings.

He does. I dont believe there is a Kawahara Chassis specific for the "X" car and/or the "R" car. But I may be wrong since I don't personally have it in my car.

You're correct, the small difference from the R to the X chassis is mainly it's battery holder being FRP and how it is attached together. The "X" screws the battery holder in direct to the chassis as oppose to the "R" where you have it screwed into a plastic piece.

I am still wondering why they did change the battery holder. I think it is no improvement.

The only advantage I see is that it makes it much easier to make a brass battery tray.

I only see it as an commercial choice. Selling new stuff is needed to stay alive, a market like ebay full with used card and so fitting parts is Mugen their biggest enemy.

So which eccentrics were used for the setup posted above and in what positions were the front one way and solid rear axle?

Craig,

It's the Eccentrics with Part #T0154. They are also set based on the stock Mugen Set Up Sheet:

Front: One way sitting on it's highest position

Rear: Solid Axle sitting on it's lowest position

Looking at the parts list for the MRX4X, what is the difference between the stock front shock tower(P/N: H0560)and the optional front shock tower(P/N: H0566)?

I believe the optional tower is the one from the R. It's a little lower than the stock MRX4 and MRX4X tower. I think I'm one of the few people that likes the R tower on the X. Gives a bit more turn in.

They just released a new buggy and have a new designer. I suspect their next project is either a truggy or a TC. I wouldn't worry about a new 1/8th until next year. Besides, we don't need a new car. It's still the best
