Hi, i'm trying to run my RS4 SS for the first time. but it feels like the pullstart rope is hard to pull. it comes out little bit smoothly, and then feels like stuck. hmm.... is this normal???

my rs4 rtr3 does that sometimes. i think it depends on how much fuel you prime into the carb to start it. i usually prime it till it get just to the carb, then i stop. if it doesnt start within a couple pulls, i prime it once or twice more.

hew~ it solved. haha i just broke in my engine. smells pretty bad... it was raining outside, so i did it my garage. i was that desperate to run it. WOW~!!! now i can say that i have REAL RC Car. haha (my first RC Car is Micro RS4)

My ignitor had a problem. somehow it didn't ignite. so i fixed it somehow. i think the problem is that glow plug cannot ignite the fuel air mixture... so it was hard to pull.

My SS runs GREAT~!!! man... hopefully it won't rain tomorrow...

thanx

I make sure that the areas around the fuel lines and air filter are clean from dirt and residue. Also put after run oil in it after each day of racing or whenever you know you wont be running it for several days. the biggest thing is make sure no dirt gets in it.

yes if its making a loud noise more than like you broke or loosened the pipe (muffler). Look for the area where the rubber tube and tie wraps are. make sure nothing is loose because if it got pulled out a little it will make the noise since air is escaping from the muffler.
