Default Red dot break in help

hey guys,

im breaking in a new red dot, heres my question, im just running it at quarter throttle and less and running really rich, but when i blip the throttle it was to flame out but just drops in RPM and then kicks back to the higher rpm this only happen when i blip the throttle.... is this good or bad, and how do i fix this ?? will it go away when i lean it out???

It may be to lean on the bottom, or because it's so rich, the engine loads up with fuel and you have to clear it out by opening up the throttle. You really only need it super rich for 3 or 4 taks, then lean it!

Als check your pipe to make sure there is no air getting in by the exhaust port on the engine. it happened to me when I mistakenly used a nova pipe with a picco gasket!

it also got soo hot that it melted the spur gear a bit and the last tank (4th) i leaned it out a bit and my spur gear is almost rounded off....

What makes you think it is rich? Sounds like it is VERY lean.

If it is running rich, it will not get that hot. Check fuel supply, make sure low-end needle is out far enough, turn the main needle out some more, what ever it takes.
