Default amb-rc battery replacement

Does anyone know how or where to find info on do-it-yourself battery
replacement in amb transponders?

Thanks

Thanks El Pedro, I am trying to change the batteries myself, so to save the
clubs money, but if I can't, I'll send them to Australia.

If you open the transponder you can see the battery. Take it out and resolder a new one but you can also add a 3v lowdrop regulator and a servo cable to power it from the receiver.

That's a great idea, but to open the transponder, should I pull open the two
halfs or saw through the plastic case at the seam? In the past I was able to
pull apart the cases of the black transponders, I was just wondering if it is
the same for the red ones.

Thanks Roelof
