1/8 on road track size

Can anyone tell me what the average track size is for 1/8 on road. I need to know how long a straight should be, lane width, and overall length and width. I have found plenty of layouts, but no dimensions.

IFMAR has rules for track size posted on their website. ifmar.org

I designed some theoretical layouts a while back with these specs in mind. Check our website www.drccc.org and check the 'Permanent track proposal' for drawings.

i found these track configurations on virtual rc. There are more. Great ideas if you plan to build a track.

That Detroit info is good.

For 1/8 scale the bare minimum is 200' x 100'. BTW, that was the exact size of Revelation... R.I.P.

Personally, I liked the smaller track.

Hey I'm from Jackson. I use to race over at Small Cars. That would be great if you can get 8th scale going over there.

About 3 years ago I ran 12 scale at small cars. I had to move and haven't ran since. I miss it. I just bought a 1/8 on road and want to promote the class. I think it has potential in this area. You know they are running on road once a month at Bass Pro Shop in Pearl. Keep in touch!
