Foam Tire Care

how do you rejuvenate the life of old foams? Also, are some foams brands more prone to chunking? And finally, can certain brand wheels really improve lap times?

thanks in advance

I heard massaging sun cream lotion into them works well but only for the first few mins till they warm up

Aged tires can actually be helpful in high traction situations, sometimes a new 45 isn't hard enough and you need to have some that have been sitting in the air for months.

You can't fix any cracks in the foam, a fresh true will get you past that initial glazed layer but I would not bother with traction type compounds on nitro foam tires.

Certain foams are more prone to chunking, and certain wheels are more resistant to bending. the kyosho tires are really good in both of these areas.

I've tried Kyosho, Kfactory, Cheetah, Jaco and Speedmind back to back (the durometers were claimed to be the same, but they varied quite a bit so my test isn't exactly accurate)

the kyosho tires produced the most consistantly low lap times, then the cheetahs, then jaco. the kfactory tires were capable of the fastest lap time, but i had to drive punched to do it and don't think it would be very good for a longer main where you had to think about tire wear.

tires

I have a bunch of old tires and i put paragon on them then let it sit for about 15 minutes after that i put trinity tire tweak or custom works magic it on them . Put them in a plastic bag for 3 days or so and they work great.

Are the rims still the old style jaco rims? if so I would not use them as you look at these rims wrong and they break. I know you can say not hit anything but even the best drivers hit stuff and/or each other. If they are diffeent style rims what would they look like.
