Default Front end assembly , 960 '07 version

We are new to 1/8th scale nitro cars , we just put the front end assembly together and noticed when turning the belt, both axles / hub assemblies do not turn together at same time, do we need to put more spacers in front assembly to reduce endplay of the outdrive shafts, seems like there is no drive to front wheels, at times one wheel will not turn at all while holding car in hand and turning belt at same time .
please explain to us how there is drive to front wheels.

thanks

Your front drive have a what you call a ONE WAY AXLE BEARING, it depends on which way you are turning the belt, if you are turning the belt backwards then your axles will not turn, but if turned towards the lock position then bearings will lock the axles and turn.
