My friend has the USB unti that connects to a reciever so I'm going to borrow that from him and give the demo a whirl.
Does anyone know if there are options for electric touring cars, and has anyone tried the offroad tracks yet?

Default VRC

The money spent getting set-up for VRC is well worth it.

You can learn to drive some of the world’s greatest R/C tracks, set-up theory, vary track conditions and just plain have fun.

If you ever plan to take on “The Fort”, you owe it to yourself to run it on the simulator first. Anyone that has ever raced there for real will tell you it is the most intimidating & destructive R/C track on earth. Is it pricy? Yes, but worth the time, money, and aggravation you’ll save in the real world.

VRC is a great educational tool for anyone that wants to learn what would normally cost you thousands of dollars in wrecked car chassis.

Real Aircraft Pilots, F1, Indy and NASCAR drivers all practice on racing Sims developed to enhance their skills before taking on the real deal.

The bottom line is that we R/C racing enthusiasts now have the same technology available to us as the big time guys with VRC...

Like Bertin said in Ray Wood's DVD ... "watching, it doesn't look, but its a very difficult track!" Hail Keisuke Fukuda and his MTX4 for winning there!!!

You know what's even better...having Brisbane as your home track..haha..suckers

VRC really teaches you how to be smooth and efficient. I was always worried about speed;that is not how you lower your times, its about being smooth and efficient. And VRC is the perfect tool that teaches you this. Also you don't have to worry about broken parts. I started with VRC when it first came out(free) so I was grandfathered into the new software.

I couldn't find anything about off-road on VRC. Will they develop an off-road version soon.

If I remember correctly they were quoting late 2008 for offroad and early 2008 for V4 onroad.

OK, OK, you're right and Brisbane is a really nice place to live too ... Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast being near ... but its sooooooooo far away from civilisation!
