Yeap, Spring 2008 ... on-road first and then off-road.

Goes to show that with practise, even an "oldish" racer can improve on VRC.

I now have to swallow my words from an earlier post because just managed to clock 18 laps on the Brisbane track ... although I did mess up the last lap!

I guess I couldn't believe my ears when I heard it said "lap 17" before 5 minutes was up.

I don't think most people have the PC power to run VR.....thast alot of the problem.....and you can't run true multi player...

want to learn top drive better, and learn to FOLLOW a line around the track?.....get an xbox 360,and forza 2.......it will teach you MORE about tuning changes, allow you to race online multiplayer tournaments(and belive me,you WILL get nervous)...AND,and has a great feature that shows you the coorect line around corners, along with braking points.....

so I just need to buy the USB adapter and download the program and I'm good to go? They have a few different software packages available in the e-shop on the site, ranging from $29.00 to $160.00.
I see the adapters on the 'bay for $40.00.

I understand that, but perhaps myself and other members that weren't part of the previous discussions might want to discuss it now in addition to reading the past discussions on the topic. Would you rather I post in an established thread or start a new one?

Default VRC

Blisster

VRC is a great product.

Get the adapter and use your transmitter. I got the VRC disc, it comes with a lot of great tracks.

Wheel time will help you real time.

This is a great winter time driving aid for people like my self who dont have access to carpet racing. Use this during the winter, and come first nitro race of the spring , you will hit the track flying!! Kakagowa Tamiya is the best track!!!

awesome. So I've got to buy the $120.00 disc or program pack and the usb reciever, right? Seems a little steep....but im sure the wheel time is worth it.

now if only I could do this with my Xbox360 and my HDTV

Default VRC

I got my disc at my local Hobby Town. It cost me like $60USD. If you have one in your area try them. No matter what the cost, it’s fun, educational and worth the money.

I like all the tracks. I do spend a lot of time on Fort Myers. The real track is a car killer but the VRC track doesn't cost you a fortune to learn to drive.

My best times there are 26 laps at 5.08, Best single lap 11.1 sec.

I hope the sim brain washes me so that I'll be ready for the Winternats someday
