It's OK HAG. I think Bernardo was also interested in it as well as a backup car for him. I was going to bring it to DELTA this Sunday to let him see it.

They might but I bet my 4 year old son will be able to join me on the track by then, or will wan't something better.

Dont get me wrong I still have a HPI Super nitro and I still like to drive it , but I had to dump a huge chunk of change to make this thing worthy of racing it on a track
I have never owned an HPI!

Hey guys that run at RCCAR (CASTLE HOBBIES), here are the final votes for the rule changes (off the rccar.com website):

The voting is now over for the 2002 season rule changes. This is not a complete list of the rule changes, but what was voted on:

Allow Foam Tires in Nitro Expert Class:
Yes: 28
No: 9

If Foam Tires are allowed, add new Class?:
Yes: 31
No: 6

So it looks like there will be a new Foam Tire Class this year at RCCAR!

So I guess there will be a separate foam tire class at CASTLE! However does this specify Lola or no Lola? I think I'll call CASTLE and find out about that tomorrow.

And with all the members that actively race RCCAR I'm surprised only 37 people voted (I know I was one of them that voted FOR Foams!)

Jonathan: Oh yeah, did I mention that you will have to out-
qualify Eric York in order to get the meal...J/K! Supposedly,
Eric will have new horse power this weekend...now that
RCCAR has voted for the foam class....which do you think will
be faster... .15 4wd Impacts or the .12 4wd Lolas? If you
think that the .15 Impacts will be faster, I am more than willing
to bet the farm....Dennis Richey, are you listening.....

OK Fellas about CASTLE for this season (Just spoke to Cameron Wagner and Eric Vasutin when I went to CASTLE today):

1. There will be a separate sedan foam class, alongside the current 5 classes at CASTLE now (Sedan Rubber Novice, Sedan Rubber Sportsman, Sedan Rubber Expert, Super 10, and .15 235mm).

2. Lola Bodies are OK.

3. You can ONLY sign up in ONE Sedan Class (that means if you sign up in rubber expert you CAN'T run in the foam class).

4. 3 Intake + 1 Exhaust Port engines ONLY (no turbos or 5 ports allowed).

JD... tell you what...the day that I out qualify you is the day that I cash in on that meal ticket...So...tell Lupe no mustard.

As far as what's faster at RCCAR... I would have to say the Impact had a slight edge...very slight...just my onion but we see !!! in a coupe of weeks

I would have to say that the .12 open class is quicker tham the .15 235mm class. If you look at the result from the last RCCAR race, the .12 open class winner Eric York did 63 laps in 15 minutes while the winner of the .15 235mm class did 40 in 10 minutes. If you do some simple math and divide 40 by two you get 20, add this 20 to the 40 and you get 60 laps in a 15 minute race for the .15 235mm class. Now with some of the fast guys running floating rear body mounts and faster engines I think the .12 open class will be even quicker this season. It will be really close though; now that the Impact cars are allowed to run 4wd drive. But I'll still put my money on the .12 open cars. Later

Brock
