Just got my long awaited 3R today from my LHS. My LHS has 2 version package of it. 5 of the kits item no 408 come with front black medium spring and rear gold hard spring, the other one item no 407 comes with soft silver spring front and rear black med spring. Both version has diffent set up sheet as well. I bought item 407, Is the any difference that I don't know (apart from springs) between this 2 version package?

Default Cambet set

What does it mean by setting the camber at 0G and 1G? Usually i set mine on the set up station, does it mean that it is on 1G position?

OG is with the droop fully extended and 1G is with the weight of the car on the suspension at your selected ride hight. These two will be different and also depend on the camber link mounting position.

I know, I know.... Your engine is faster than mine. Your first gear could easily outrun my Rody on the 2nd gear on the straight away already. shhh... don't let me lose face more than I have to.

you do know that this is just friendly sarcasm. I may be fast on the track but I'm not turning 16 and 17 second laps like you.

I did my first testing day with my new rrr. Man I love this car! It is so much better than my FW-05r it isnt even a comparison..... It is so lively and quick to turn. stable and easy to access diffs and pullies. The stock car is great! I thought id share cause I was very impressed for a first day out and learning to drive a new car.

Profoxcg: The fw-05 had a turn in push that i could never get rid of no matter what i did. It also had rear camber issues that could be fixxed to have more grip with muegen rear hubs and rr links. The brake was poor and the 2 pin design on the brake holder is ineffective. it wears out brake holes very quickly and causes driveshaft wobble. I tried 3 different alloy brake holders and 2 different alloy gearbox cases and it allways was back to the same tricks almost immediately. That being said it was tough as nails and could take major crashes that would have destroyed other cars. It was very easy to work on and the shafts were quick to change out.

the RRR is quick and lively to drive, it dives into corners and is so agile I had to really smooth out my driving style. The belts and diffs are easy to get to and change the gearing is great and it seems well planted. tires wear much more evenly. The car is underweight so if you are racing you will have to add about 3 quarters to make roar. (nice to finally be adding weight than trying to remove it!) The car is tough and has easy setting adjustments. It is great out of the box. The only things that you may want to add are universals to the front and a hop up brake.

same price: no contest the RRR.
hope that helps (my opinion though)

Nah the fw05 doesnt suck it just took alot of effort to get it to perform the way i thought it should. The rrr is ready to go.

I am keeping the fw05 as a backup. It is a warrior and has driven through a couple of other mugens and snakes.

I think they talked about ratios and gears a couple of pages back. Look back and you should be able to find out about gearing.

Default Fuel Tank

Anyone here has problems with the RRR fuel tank? There were 3 RRRs at my local track and everyone one of the fuel tank started to leak next to the front screw hole after a few runs.
