3 Racing Hop-Ups for 3R
are those titanium parts going to hold up, because we know how 3racing parts are fragile

I have 3 racing main shaft, where the 1st and 2nd spurs are mounted on it.

I might have the small pulley shaft from 3 racing, but since i got it for free I am not really sure what manufacturer it is, It's lightweight and free, so that one doesn't matter.

I also got 3racing wheel adapters. For the cvd's i'd get Kyosho, because kyosho products are quality.

So will 3racing's titanium parts hold up?

Default 3R lower arm binding

Quote:
there we go, 3r arms doesnt work on evo without any modification. Either you dremel parts of arm or bulkhead to free up the movement. Well another thing to consider is caster of 3R arms on evo bulkhead is completely different. But 3R front knuckle and rear upright is direct replacement for V1R/RR/EVO front knuckle and rear upright..
Heya Boner,

ok a small misunderstanding, i have a evo and now a RRR. The binding was occurring on the 3R lower Arms.

What i did was i dismantled the arm, added some green slime to the hinge pins and buffed the insides of the arms and bulk head.

There was an improvement thereafter, but once i had assembled the front end (steering knuckles and all) the arms were moving under their own weight, with just the right amount of free play.

Thanks for the efforts and for setting me back on track.

i guess i've said this before but i'll say it again, getting to the diffs is so easy now...

Would you have any more tips or potential pitfalls that i should look out for while continuing with assembly.

thescum: we are all learning. glad we can exchange idea and make the car more prefect. Just word of caution, make sure you use the right length of screws when you tighten the front belt tensoner block (page 9, item 21, 22), if you use 3x12mm screw, it will penetrate builkhead and rubbing on the 1way pulley.

For people building the front differential, the front differential case rim will rub on turn buckle of center steering at certain angle. you will need to shave a tad on the item 117 on page 9.
Otherwise go out and burn nitro :-)
