The car's handling is amazing!! very easy to drive and very driver friendly. First time driving it was in a race, nothing broken except losing the dog bone that lead to lost the outdrive and out of the bump up
how much does the bone stock v one rrr weigh?

Boner, that's sweet man! Give us a little more info so we can all live up to your name. Single-R, Double-R, Triple-R ... Tony thinks they're gRRReat! (ROAR)

to my best recall, it's 3.076lbs is my V1RRR, with Futaba PCM, 9451, 9550, venom 1100 mha rx pack and Protoform Alfa 2.1 body. If you put the front diff on the car, I'm sure it's over the weight limit. Another changes was the pivot balls, they seem to be a lot lighter than V1R/RR/EVO stock pivot balls. The kit plastic include front diff case, no outdrive for diff and apparently you will need Evo diff outdrive to get proper length but v1r/rr outdrive will work fine too. Secondly there is a plastic part that will allow you to lock the diff into spool.
I'll have picture up shortly still away from home.

but your engine is pretty damn close. a rb v12 engine that just got broken in, running 20% fuel, with a running temp at 135F and is dead even with a .21 engine at the end of the straight !

i will always try to help if you ask, but i really don't like your attitude, on and off the track, just to let you know that.

lets forget about all this, get your new body painted and have fun next week. ah10 will be there too, i heard.

KDawg, yeah I can't seem to find the rear ones either. Let me know if you come up with anything. I'll keep you posted as well.

Maybe if people told me what it was I could improve upon it.

The Roar weight is 1725g or 3.80297 lb. 3 quarters weigh about 0.0375 lb or 17g.

You probably mean 3.760lbs

glad you guys have the right weight # handy. All I know was I need 3 quarters to pass the weight tech but I end up using 4 quarter just in case the tire wears make the weight under weight again.

Hi Boner,

was looking thru the RRR's Manual (haven't got the car yet, but managed to download the manual courtesy of the members of this forum) and was wondering what's the material used for the Front shock stay.

Also, what's the shock oil used for front/rear (they only say silicone oil soft) and the rear diff's silicone oil weightage.

Thanks a bunch

the front shock tower is plastic but it might be carbon graphite since it's very hard. the rear shock tower is carbon fiber.
shock oil weight is japanese 500 WT or 50 in USA. The rear diff wt is 30,000.
by the way, i got gold rear spring but the manual said it's black spring. I guess there is an error on the printing or I got lucky with a upgrade.

While reading this thread i realized i had the wrong bumper on, I had the lola bumper on and I don't run a lola body. So I switched it to a sedan bumper and the car's weight went from 1686 grams to an amazing 1672 grams

I'm still not done with the custom receiver box, if i get my hands on a dremel I can finish it up and the car will be in the 1660's.

I have made a big improvement on the weight, my car weighed more than 1720 when I began working on it and now i cut more than 50 grams in weight. I'm not going to buy any lightweight parts for this car because i want the RRR as my future car, even if it takes me 2 years to save up the money like I did for the RR. But next time all i have to purchase is the car, no starter boxes, no radios, no chargers and etc.

My goal is 1750 with body on and fuel tank empty, it's hard to accomplish but I see lots of spaces where the dremel can make holes or take some plastic off

Thanks Boner, can't wait to see the pix of your RRR. Just out of curiousity, why does kyosho continue with two pure ten platforms(though am just thankful the V-one didn't get the axe, call it product loyalty of sorts
