HEy guys
My mate just brought a Evo conversion kit for his RR but he seems to have trouble putting in servos and a front RR open diff and brake and throttle linkages and some other minor problems as well.
I was just curious as if its a conversion kit im sure it shouldnt be to much of a hassle. Has anyone done a Conversion from a RR to a RR evo had any problems while building/converting the car?
All comments appreciated thanks.

If he tried to put the RR diff in it then of course he's going to run into problems. The bulkheads are narrower on the Evolution. i don't know about the conversion kit but my Evolution kit came with a frount diff case.

What problems is he having with the servos and linkages? What kind are they?

did the converson on a reflex, the throttle/ brake horn has to be trimed on the throttle side, needs different front diff out drives, conversion comes with diff case.

Stock gearing or the try 20/25 on the pinion.

It's fine as long as you use the same pitch pinion and spur gears. You can use the old stuff.

Thanks for the reply guys
ummm i havent exactly seen the problem he is having as he has told me through email. He just said that the servos wont fit in and they are Standard Servos from the XS3 radio he just got. i told him 100% they should fit. and with the throttle and brake linkages he said something about the upper deck handle is in the way. I told him to just bend the linkages abit (make a slight curve) for it to fit. im waitin from a response back from him.

drfritz: thanks for reply
So if conversion comes with diff cases can he take out the gears from the RR diff and shove it in the new evo diff casing and then just get outdrives for it? doesnt front one ways use outdrives too?

Anyone else done a conversion from a RR into RR evo? had any probs?
