would you then consider the Fw05R's suspension geometry to be on par with the newer generation of cars? (for e.g the R40)

Because from what i think of it, even though it is better than the EVO, many of its rear suspension components (lower arm, uprights) is still the same as the EVO

so i am curious, how does it stack up ?

No idea. I dont own a FW05R yet. From all accounts the car is fast however, see the results in Brazil and the JMRCA last year.

Ummm, I thought you said that with the EVO, there was now no advantage to be gained by using the MTX-3 rear hubs.
Where's that list of Mugen parts - I might have to try it, now.

Anyway, when are you and finchy coming down for a visit.
You can stay at sparksy's place.

. . . he's gonna kill me for that one.

I won't be down for a while. Sparsky said before he left that we should come down. The only thing that worries me is that my liver and kidneys might not be up to the trip.

But you have private health cover, yeah?
Just make a date - Manti is coming too.

I wonder how much room there is at sparksy's place.

AMG,
This looks like the same FW-05? . . . MTX-3 hubs?

Or a pretty complicated water devining aparatus.

I got no laptime advantage from the MTX3 rear that is true. But the car felt more locked in in the rear. My HPI is no faster outright than my V1R, but you have to drive it far less hard therefore you make less mistakes. That is pretty much the difference with the new cars vs the older ones.

I might be able to get a visit going soon, we have a call centre down there I might need to visit

Yep MTX3 hubs. A caution with the EVO, the rear width will go over 200mm without some grinding.

There wont be much room after I stock up on beer and rum. I wonder what laptime advantage driving over 0.05 has.........

Cool, your in. Now we only need to put the weights on Finchy.
I just know he's gonna come up with a weak excuse.

Finchy, just think . . . . rum and beer.
