Which chassis do you guys reccomend, the Optional one, the version that comes with the conversion kit, or the kawahara? When is that new middle shaft coming out? It looks great. Also, where can I get a negative diff for this car?

Racing4Evo,
We're using the Shimo chassis from the conversion kit and happy with it, but haven't tried the others.

Re: the negative diff, where are you?

The new mid. shaft looks to be out late December according to AMG's broken English.

Also, having a trawl through the Kyosho site, it appears there are a couple of new spurs available.

1st. Spur Gear 0.8M/59T) VZ113-59 \ 400_
2nd. Spur Gear 0.8M/57T) VZ114-55 \ 750

. . . be carefull, here. It looks like there's a typo in the part # for the 2nd. Spur. I would think it should be VZ114-57 if it's to follow their usual pattern.

Yes...the 59T spur has arrived in HKG. I have one....but I don't know when I can use it because the track is too small for it...

The kawahara one is almost a direct copy of the one from the conversion kit. The added advantage is that it already has a cutout for the lower engine mounts and it is a lot cheaper then the Kyosho version!

I'm in Southern California (short hop across the pond). But thanks, I think I just found one. (Thanks Ken) Will the low-height engine mounts for the FW-05R work? I have some of those coming in. Going to do a full on comparison between the Evolution and the FW-05R.

The FW05R mounts works great....if you have a cutout in the chassis for the centax. Also remember to use the smaller flywheel (33mm). I have been having some problems with some brand of exhaust manifolds (shark in-line). Because they are not design for the lowered mounts....the manifold/pipe run very close to the ground. Another thing to consider....

the rear end of R and RR EVO are the same. i.e. they are interchangable.

The 2 speed clutch shoes on the Evo has extra holes to put grub screws in so you can adjust the freeplay. The old ones from the RR will work fine on the 0.8 teeth no problems.....

HITEC OR FUTABA,

I NEED AN ADVICE, WHICH IS BETTER HITEC OR FUTABA SERVOS?
HITEC IS CHEAPER BUT IM NOT SURE IF THEY WILL LAST LONG.
IM RUNNING MY V1RR ONLY IN A PARKING LOT AND IM USING A STANDARD S148 FUTABA SERVO FOR BOTH STEERING AND THROTTLE. DO I HAVE TO UPGRADE TO A MORE HIGH TECH SERVO?
OR BETTER TO BUY HOP-UPS FOR MY V1RR THAN TO BUY THESE SERVOS?

THANKS AND ADVANCE HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

If you have the money...get the Futaba S9451....very nice servo. I have only ever used 1 Hitec servo out of the 20+ which I have.....and I didn't like that one neither.....
