Hey Mr Manticore

How do they fit in the car? i thought you have to use 1/2 AA to make a hump pack. Do you have a pic of the battery pack so i can make one up.

thanks
Hank

It's also a hump pack. To mount it, you need to rotate it 90 degree (top view).

Can anyone tell me the part numbers for the floating rear body mount parts on the EVO.

I need the top arms, links, pins, rear slider bracket, body support and screws.

An electronic copy of the manual will do and I will take the numbers out of it.

Thanks

On a low grip track first and foremost get the tires right. I cant help you here, but get the good tires from local racers. Also make sure they are even, not chunked and for low grip tracks not too small.

Next thing is the body. You MUST use the right body. For high speed stability the Stratus and Stratus 2.1 is good and the new Alfas are also very very good.

After that there are a few other settings which can help. Caster is number 1, too much caster will make you spin on corner entry. Set the swaybars a little stiffer can also help. Also check your shock damping is not too light.
Thanks AMG,

I'm running the Stratus 2.1 and switching to the Alfa just to give it a try. I was running 37/35 F/R on the tires, but switched the rears to 30s in hopes of sticking the rear end down a bit, slightly sucessful, but then I lost all feel for when the car would swap ends.
I have the silver sway bar on the rear and the front blade is flat as in 0 degrees, soft I guess. caster is twwo small shims in the rear and the thickest one forward.
I think I have 40wt oil in the shocjks all the way around.

Sugestions, besides slowing down for the entry to the corner.

Well it is hard to say without seeing your car run really. Like I say driving the right lines, body and tires is 95% of your setup.

There are just far too many variables. Where is your car oversteering? Corner entry, off throttle, on throttle, mid corner? Need more info, as much as you can give.

I do not know of any tires with the correct offset. You will need around 3mm offset. You can get some clamp on 2mm offset hubs which make it work.

My guess is too much rear droop. With your light weight oil, it makes things worse when the weight transfers too quickly to the front. Perhaps better would be to list out your complete setup.
