I did trim off the V1RR Evo battery case. Take off both legs and than grind smooth both side one of the battery holder hole. Result - not really comfortable with it as the battery is abit hanging. Maybe i should follow as dtm - put it below with spacer in between.

on page 137, mr fury asked if anyone has a rear exhaust header for his VoneR. Anyone state side got one?
Maybe a Trinity Reflex header will fit

He won't need any specific header for the V-One R.
I'd suggest taking the car/engine/pipe along to his LHS - they should have a number of rear exhaust headers that would be suitable.

They'd cost about $40 in Aus but I'd rather wipe my a$$ with a cactus than pay $40 for one .

Got racing in less than 2 weeks
I'd pay the $40 what if one of those cactus needles gets infected

I've been out of the country for a week.....but the easiest method is to use the old RR battery case. Use at least a 5mm shim and pick up on the existing upper deck holes. If you use a 5mm shim, the case will clear the 3 Racing stand off. The battery will be sitting really low.....it maybe advisable to stick a piece of AE chassis tape on the bottom of the battery!

Haha....I still have this shell kicking around! When running it is Extremely COOL! Massive downforce on the rear makes the car understeer. Extremely stable...but with the high CG it is easy to roll over the car during corners. I ran it a few times on the on MTX-2!

Default Gearing?

Hey guys. I seem to be running out of gearing at my track. We have a huge straight and my MR12 is just straining towards the end of the track. What is the ideal spur/pinion combo to run? I'd like to keep the 1st gear the same if possible.

How long of a straight are we talkin. I would say a 1 tooth jump would be enough if its around 200ft, you also might wan't to get a RPM pipe as well to help the engine.

It's ok putting a taller second gear on but IDEALLY u wouldn't want to run more than a 4 tooth split between the 1st and 2nd pinion. Or you it might start to get bogged down when changing. Also bearing in mind 1st gear pinion + 1st gear spur = 2nd gear pinion + 2nd gear spur.

Hey....i'm sure you know about trilordy web site http://www.trilordy.com... well you can get some imputs on there cars by looking at pictures and the cars with certain bodies on and watch the vids.....they had a V1R on there with a o.s. .12 TR that was clocked at 80MPH. You should get a popular engine such as novarossi,novamega,o.s., and so on known to provide that power for the V1R....this is my opinion

Default V1RR Evo

Is it really a big jump in performance from the regular V1RR? I have my car dialed finally and wondering if the Evo conversion kit will make even better. Thanks for you input.
