I am using the 3racing (kv-006) one from the V1RR kit. I shaved off about 2mm each from the inner side of each holder...is that what you had to do to modify them?

i cut out around 5mm the same area and also trim away some material from the up stop screw holder to ensure adequate up travel.

OK did some high grip track testing. Wanted to check out the on power understeer for myself

Well first up, need to get rid of droop. I went +3 +6 in the end and that seemed pretty good. This was at a ride height of 4mm and with 57/60mm front and rear tires.

Remember I was running the kit stock setup here as a baseline.

Next thing, front swaybar is way too soft flat. Needed to go to 45 degrees on the bar, balanced it up using the gold rear and sliding the adjuster up 7mm.

Then I went to the Light blue springs front and rear.

At this point car was OK getting around the track at an OK pace, but there it was, the on power understeer. Also punch was quite low.

So I took my own advice and went with 50K wt rear diff oil (I prepped a 30K and 50K diff before I went) non LSD. While I had the car stripped down I went with the #12 ackerman steering.

Well all I can say is you gotta try it out for yourself

Nope!

I've heard of some people modifying parts and using different parts and this and that to fit a pull-start engine but it's not really worth all the trouble.

Were you using the overdrive (25t pulley) and front one way?

AMG,

That still seems like a lot of droop for a high traction set-up - which track?
What was the original oil in the diff? - did you try the 30K diff?

Anyway, put us out of our misery . . . . how was it.
