Thanks ziggy and fish,

It looks like they're expecting us to use a Lola body on the Evo.
Given that I believe the front bulkheads are norrower, the old top bumber brace might not fit.

Why not Tagalog version? Well, you may have to wait till they update the English site. Meanwhile, the use of the Babel fish on Altavista may help.

best,

Did some testing today. Medium sized track, moderately bumpy and medium grip. Lots of 180 degree turns and two large sweepers.

First up bodies. Tried an accord, vectra, stratus 1, 300m and lola. Amazingly I liked the 300m the best (I thought the lola would be the go) The accord had better turn in, but was unstable out of the corners.

Secondly, this track has a fairly long 180 degree sweeper, probably 15 metres entry to exit. I have been been encountering mid corner oversteer for ages (and so do most people at this track) if the speed and line is not perfect. Too fast or too wide and around you go. Well I tested 42, 40, 37 and 35 shore GRP 30mm rears. The lower the shore the better the grip, but the mid corner snap was present even with the 35s. As a last resort I went to the 40 shore 30mm Enneti that I had in my kit. Well problem solved?! These tires gripped as good as the 35shore GRPs and the mid corner snap was totally eliminated. I have no explaination for this one.

AMGRacer, it sounds like you did more testing than the Ferrari F1 team.

I had a few discoveries of my own today, AMG refers to the mid corner snap, I know what you are saying. I found a cure but it wasn't the tyres in my instance, seems like the front springs are a little on the hard side (for my liking anyway) totally cured it by using yellow kyosho springs on the front (yellow kyosho is like the standard black rears), now I can just pick a line and drive through without the fear of the rear end spit.

The rear of the car likes to be a little harder than the front, seems to make the car change direction better.

I was using nitro shoes 35R & X50F, really nice combination

Testing was at Meakin Park. I also went back to the standard V1R rear end (no floating mount) for testing and I could swear (again no firm data here) that it is better on the direction change.

Oh yeah all I can say is USE JOHN HAMMOND FUELS. This stuff is unbelievable.

I really enjoy testing out new configurations on the car and finding how they work.

6 months ago I was playing with stiff springs and the MTX3 rear end on the car. Took it back to basics (ie. back to factory settings) and my laptimes are faster, shows that the factory makes these things pretty good first time!

Oh yeah I have a G35 and a Nissan Altima to test as well, they look like they have potential.

I think the 300m is not legal for sanctioned racing right?

Yeah that is my current direction for these sort of medium sized medium grip tracks. I am running silver springs up front with 37 shore tires and blacks in the rear with 40 shore. Pretty much every other setting is factory (rear LSD with 10K diff oil) and V1R rear end the only major departures.

I really think this particular track I am running on likes the Enneti better than the GRP. My original thinking was foams are foams. But it is possible that some foams suit some conditions better than others. This track has a lot of dust and fine pollen on the surface and is quite bumpy.

Hopefully somebody else can test the Enneti and post their results.

BTW What is an X50F??
