My best suggestion is to stick to one brand.

What alot of guys I know do it have 2 cars.... one for club meets, and one for state events.

So next season... your high profile event car becomes your club car..... and you get a new chassis for the state events.

Running 2 diff brand cars becomes a headache.... twice as many spares.... etc etc

Both the MTX3 and the V-one RR are great choices. But with Kyosho about to release their updated RR, it might be wise to hold off for a while and see how it pans out.

Well I timed a few laps with my sun dial and I'm sure there was a few 18.65-18.37 in there. Actually traction was not so bad today but I'm sure it will come up during the week.

. . . strange track.
You say traction wasn't bad today, so I presume that by about Wednesday, it'll be awesome, and taper off again by Friday.

. . . must be some sort of El nino track . . .

They ran 5th scale yesterday, you know how much crap they spit out onto the surface. But El nino track it is. Traction should be getting low by sunday race day.

Default R to RR

Gentlemen,

Help! . . . what do I need to convert our "Vintage" VoneR to an RR.

I'm thinking:
VZ083 REAR BODY MOUNTS RR - (The plastics)
VZW017 Kyosho Body Mount Shaft V-One RR (The Pins & E-Clips)
VZ098 REAR BODY MOUNT POST V-ONE RR (The Body Posts)
VZW016 SPECIAL MIDDLE BELT (375) RR
O.D. Pullies for the above belt??? (Dunno what I need here)
Anything I missed?

I've trimmed the rear uprights to use 30mm foams, so I presume I won't need anything more there, yeah?

Question:
Will the RR body posts use the existing holes in our nice new Volvo S60 shell?
Will this conversion get us an extra 1/2 second at a well known Brisbane track between Monday and Friday.

That will do the rear end parts and the overdrive. You need the VZ008B pulley set (harder pulleys) which comes with the 25T pulley. Change them all for these harder ones. Also get the front and rear SP belt, the drivetrain is MUCH freer. There are also another plastic tree (forget number) with a transponder mount and the front lola bumper on it. Lastly dont forget the centax clutch if you want to go fully RR.

You can get some 3 racing rear clamping hexes with a 2mm offset on them which will make fitting the 30mm rears a breeze with no trimming.

The RR body posts are further forwards than the stock holes. Need to ream some more.

Whether the rear makes a big difference or not is up for conjecture. I would say that it makes the car more stable at high speeds. Dont know if that will translate into faster times.

Need your advise guys... I thinking to setup my second car just for serious racing purpose. What it will be .... Once you talk about choice, chances and expensive decision that you have to make...

My option is :-
Chasis
1. Another V1RR as my first car ( Infact my spare parts almost complete make up another V1RR now)
2. Mugen MTX3 ( New for me but influence by afew AMain Local Racers )

Which one ?? Aaaaargh........

Engine ( Currently using NovaRossi S5 )
1. Rody -RB modified
2. JP Racing Modified

Which one.???? AAaaaaaa again!

Help me guys...
Stick with one brand like the other guys said. Much better for spares and you get to know the car well.

For engines I would say stick with unmodified Novarossis until you can tune very well. Modified motors will frustrate you if you have a hard time tuning.

Thanks AMG , at less that opinion cool down my eagerness to get MTX3 and modified engine. My spare parts on V1RR almost 90% complete parts for another V1RR. coool down.. waiting for V1RR Evo than will decide on MTX3..
