The only hop ups I'll be getting in the near future will be the Shimo high traction chassis and the left side chassis stiffner. That's all I think will be nessesary for the time being. Maybe closer to the QLD titles I'll spend a bit more money. Hop ups are fine but not a must have at this stage. Other things are more important like a tyre truer. It's how you drive the car not what's on the car.

Yes this is very true, but at the end of the day it's the driver and the setup of the car. I totally agree that stopping chassis flex is a great key to setting up a good car. But at the moment I'm quite content to do a few race meets in box stock configuration. I have to figure out where to get the parts from at the best price and I'm pretty sure that involves dealing with stores overseas ( sorry local hobby shops ). Got a price list for the K-factory stuff for the V one series yesterday, some of the stuff is priced alright but some is a bit steep.

I'll only be buying Factory aftermarket stuff ( Kyosho) and some japanese aftermarket hop ups. Quality control is a bit more tougher in these countries as opposed to Tiwain, I should know my work imports stuff from China, Thialand and Tiawain all the time. They only work for a bowl of rice per week. ( no offense anybody ).

Hey TBR I think that's a smart move why not have an option. You can even drive your real car when you need to go somewhere or even if you want to go for a cruise in the country. please refer to earlier post. See you down the track on Sunday they are predicting showers hopefully that won't happen.

cheers Graeme

harmony hobbies is the place I got for both quotes. I can't remember exactly ( on Brothers computer) but I think they are something like $ 20 US without freight that was about $13-15 us. If you can get them cheaper go for it. I don't think I'll be getting them this month anyway.
