If I put one of them HPI style spacers in, the nut does not tighten down all the way. Maybe this is why Jaco came out with the 2 offset rim.
Is there a wider (like Serpent) hex I should switch to?
Are you using the new fast or old style???

I am not sure, never used Fast before.
The box is blue on the left side, and fades to white on the right side.

Jeff
you would want quite a thick oil maybe 30 000 or 50 000 but it may depend on your track that you run on.

You have a V one R? if so you need to get the wide tyre axle and wide tyre dogbone to allow the 30mm tyres on your car. This allows the tyres to spin freely without rubbing against the hub carrier

with the vone rr tune your rear diff between 3,000 to 10,000

because your can get alot of oversteer, i run mine at 6,000 with a front one way.

I personaly like to forget about tire size when talking gearing....

Does it affect it? yes

However, with the method I use to select gearing it doesnt matter.

I gues I should have mentioned that I prefer to set my car up handeling wise before I gear....

So if there is a need to run small tires, I have them on the car when I gear it. fronts always start 2mm smaller then the rear.

Also, if you read back, once I find the perfect top gear, I add one tooth..... this allows for wear of the tires throught the day.

For club races I also like to use the biggest tires possable for the given track conditions without having them "squirmy"... mainly because I am a tight arse.

This is a good method the only differerce is I run a 1mm split.
The V one RR run 1:1 drive ratio

That is a good method but I use a 1mm split the V one RR runs a 1:1 drive ratio

boycey I won't be there this weekend I have to run my new motor in yet and unfortunately I haven't got a pipe and header yet. I might be able to run it in on saturday, just depends on the work situation. We're quite busy at the moment ( 5 to 5 five maybe six days a week, grow money tree grow ). But I'll pop down and hassle you don't worry about that. Good luck for sunday
