Cool Racing

AMG Racer you need to come down to one of our race meets at Brendale so there a few more kyosho there. Because there only two V one RR racing the rest are MTX3.

Default V1rr Slow Engine (novarossi 5 port) speed n 2 speed problems

My engine (nova 5 port) is quite new, it has finish run in n run for almost a month. But it seems to be quite slow..is this becoz of tuning? Then how it should be tuned. I know even the same engine has different behaviour n it depends on the weather condition too, but just give me a rough guide on tuning this nova 5 port engine...thx!

My another problem is on the 2 speed..It never really engage on the 2nd gear. Was it becoz the engine rpm too slow? Or any other reasons? Pls help. Thank u very much!

Yeah I have been meaning too for a long while, but the day is so long

I usually cannot afford 9-4 on a Sunday at the moment Wynnum is onlu 9-1 so I can get away with that one

I would like to say all this talk of gear ratios no one has mentioned the tyre size debate I think that has a lot to do on how you can get the motor to scream.

The import for Rb said he has only ever had to send a few motors back to France but when they returned they absolutly screamed, so hopefully fingers crossed they weave some magic on my and I'll have it for the QLD titles.

Dont know about fast yet will see under timed laps on Sunday but I cant get my V one R (it has RR rear end and using mugen clutch) how I like it with one way so sticking with front diff. I have adjustable rear diff in and thats a nice thing to have as another adjustable item. I cut my turret down as Manticore had shown in an earler post.

Which tyres are you fellows using on the rear of your VoneRs?
Also, what width are they?
I have been using 26mm Fast tires, but maybe I should try the Jaco Nitro shoes,(30mm) with 2 offest

still use the fast tires, for 26mm front, try 42 shore or 40 and try the 30mm rears in fast tyres try 40 37 35 shores.

I put a set of 30mm Fast tyres on, and they rub on the inside of the rim.
If I put one of them HPI style spacers in, the nut does not tighten down all the way. Maybe this is why Jaco came out with the 2 offset rim.
Is there a wider (like Serpent) hex I should switch to?
