Default Hmmm.....

Ummm, with no overdrive pulleys installed, I believe when the rear tires get smaller than the front, the front end will be pulling the car and you'll be in overdrive mode because of the tire diameter difference. In that instance, the car will not push at the corners.

The reason being is that the tire rollout for the front end will be more than the rear end as the tire rollout depends on the tire diameter i.e. larger diameter, bigger tire rollout.

The front and rear wheels will have the same rotational speed (physics and engineering background people will denote this withthe greek word omega). Just that the rollout of the tires will be different.
Now I thought that with no overdrive, there could be a situation where you begin to lose rear traction due to the fact that the rear tires are rotating faster? Or is that more traction as the rear tires get smaller? Hmmm....I think I may be confusing my current setup with my old one which was with the 100,000 diff oil.

I think the reason why you may be experiencing loss of rear traction is probably due to the front seemingly having more steering as the front end is now pulling the car. When the front end pulls the car, the rear end tends to follow and will seem somewhat lazy.

With no overdrive set up, when your rear tires wear down smaller than the fronts you will get underdrive (pushing from the rear).

Oh, if front tire diameter is larger than rear, it should be overdrive. (The front is pulling the rear)

No underdrive, smaller rears will make your car push like a pig.

Then i didn't understand why 25T pully is used as a overdrive pully? The 25T pully will make the front pull the rear (front speed is higher than the rear) Maybe it should call underdrive pully ??

Because it does create an overdrive condition!

Like going through the boards at the end of the straight at Revelation?

Bounty Hunter;

Are you going to Rev this Sunday? I'll be there with Gus (2 dirty old men) but not racing myself. Come up and introduce yourself, always nice to meet another racing buddy. (I'll be wearing a Hitec hat)

Hitec hat huh? Yeah I think I will be there. My V one RR is almost ready for wall again! Hehe! I will most likely be racing on Sunday. I am sure you can spot me. I believe I am the only 6'2" 245lb. asian there! If there is another one, let me know, maybe we can start a Sumo racing group!

I'll probably end up there too.

Got a chance to stop by Revelation last night. The suggested 4mm stagger between front and rears with the 25T OVERDRIVE pulley felt awesome. I dropped my STS in there and it now weighs less than my MTX-3! Oh yeah B.H., 30,000 wt. seems to work well there. Any thing softer and your car will push... like a pig (there I said it again, oink!) out of the corners.
