You're not talking about the LSD are you? Are you referring to the blue diff?

The LSD has special oil that slows/locks up the gears inside.

From what I saw of the blue diff it uses a setscrew to adjust friction to slow up the diff action. Not sure how long the wear will be on parts.

Anyone know anything about those Zac Project modified OS 12 TR engines? I saw them on the Italian Kawahara site.

I've tried the LSD and I can't really say it made that much of a difference. I also heard the LSD diff gears were prone to breakage, unless you regularly replace the LSD fluid, so I took it out.

What I'm really interested in is the Kyosho Blue Active Diff, and the Kawahara Negative diff.

I second that on the lsd diff, nothing special at all.

You can get the Kawahara upper deck from RCModel in Hong Kong for around $55. The Eagle model upper deck is the same one I just got from Integy and is selling for around $30.

Default OS12-TR zac

i GOT ONE!

cali, I havent raced it yet but its ballistic, approx 1.3hp
Easy to tune, bucket loads of bottom end. screams top end.
I've said this before but I saw 2 of these racing at a big event here and they were as quick as turbo engines and one finished 2nd in the a main.(in a v-one-r of course).
There are 2 versions sport and race both are pretty well on par with the race being slightly torquier bottom end.
I reckon it rocks and the price is cool!
I paid about $430 ozzy (which is only about the same price as a cx12 novarossi.)

hey DCR1two, thanks for the pic, I cannot find the link to RCmodel though, do u have the url? Thanks so much for the help.

Thanks Squizzytaylor, I'm really interested in getting the race model. Is that what the pic is of? Wait, is that a pic of your engine on your car with the background erased? The blue heat sink is really nice. Looks like a very nice engine overall. I'm assuming its nice to tune and reliable like most other OS engines, as u said. U got the sport model or the race? Thanks very much for the help...do u know of a seller online?

DCR1two, NM i found the site. Is RCModel reliable, have u gotten things there before?
