AMG, I used to run these years ago. The pinks are similar to 37s GRP and the fronts are like a 42s GRP. 35/30 is way too off. Im sure the Proline Greens are closer to a 30. Purple/Pink Prolines were like the the tyres to 'have' about 4 years ago at most carpark tracks.

Anybody know if the stock NTC3 runs stiffer springs than the stock Kyosho springs?

Hehehe I got hacked REAL good in the first heat (bent pipe ) and then somebody spun in front of me in the straight and I plowed into them!! Then in the 2nd and third heats I made BAD tire choices. So a 2nd in the final was OK I guess

Awww, c'mon asd, that's too difficult to answer specifically.

For what "I" might call a medium traction track , assuming GRP rubber, start with 42 fronts and 37 rear.
However, you will have been astute enough to have brought some harder and softer ones with you, 'cos the traction will commonly change as the day progresses.

tone where did you get your 15/19, like what store? I don't trust just any store in Hong Kong. Anyone know if the superten gearing will work on the v1r? they have a 14 tooth first gear I'd like to try.

Default newbie question

I'm trying to take apart an engine for the first time. Can anyone give me any tips on how to get the rod off crank so I can get the piston/sleeve out? I'm scared to pull on anything too hard. thx

patelladragger:

Get the sleeve out first by rotating the crank and the sleeve should pop up. If it's tight, use a plastic or soft material stick of some sort to pop it out.

Once the sleeve is out you can pull off the rod.

ok - thanks RC. At least now I know what's needed. But my sleeve isn't coming out at all - I tried getting it up with several things and then figured maybe I'm supposed to unhook the rod first. Hmmmm....

If you're carefull, you could stick it in the oven for about 5-7 minutes at 350' and the expansion should free up the sleeve.

Add salt to taste.
