Hi sparksy,

Thanks for the neg. diff info. That puts my mind at rest.
Have you had any problem with the out-drive on the clutch end of the diff? There is no bearing there and ours started enlarging the hole in the ally casing - it was getting pretty sloppy. I have machined it and installed a bearing, but will need to re-modify it to get the clutch re-installed.

Yours looks like a great track . . Hmmm, and a 23T back straight?
It appears to have some "up hill and down dale" in it also - I bet that adds an interesting element. Is that Brendale? I'm ex Brisbane, myself and was visiting my sister in Aspley - Brendale is not far from there, right?

We alternate between our non permanent "home" track at Dandenong (no photo, Im afraid) and Lilydale. The Nat's are on at Lilydale this weekend.

High 17 secs are the fastest..... 18's to 20 are avg.....

I'm yet to try out the solid oneway combo on this track.....

Yep, the track is only a stones throw from Aspley. And yep, you got to run a big 2nd gear.....

I havent had any probs with the clutch end of the diff..... although I am sure I have a bearing in there....... the out drive is starting to get a groove in it, so If anyone has a source on these, I would love one!!

I would love to hear a report on that. We have a solid rear - just not game to put it in.

So when are you two coming down anyway? There is plenty of room for the 'E' Finals for you

Yep, there is a bearing on the inner end of the out-drive, just next to the pin that's in the bevel gear. It's shown in your pic and is the same as mine.
I'm saying that there is no bearing on the outer end of that same out-drive.

Mine just runs in the ally at the outer end and had enlarged the hole considerably. This became apparent via significant wobble at the outdrive when assmbled and in the car. The hole ended up maybe 1 - 2 mm oversize.
I didn't want to panic you - you can check for "wobble" while it's still in the car.

I was half thinking that you may have had a later/updated design. I believe that my diff would have been one of the first in the country, so I guess it's done a few miles. Maybe I'm the only one with the issue.
